Folk Art
When it comes to decorating your home, you want something that will express your inner self.
Folk Art is a wonderful way of getting the job done, as there is usually something for everybody. You can literally use anything with this theme, from pets like cats, birds or even fish to angels, scenery or even everyday items you
wouldn't normally think would be considered art.
You can really get creative in ways you can be truly unique, and what's more, with Folk Art you can never really go wrong when trying to match. One of the greatest benefits of using Folk Art is the ability to have your entire self revealed in one room. Put the cat, rooster, angel, sun and old homestead on your mantle together and it is suddenly a story of it's own. Perhaps the cat was chasing the rooster in front of the house in the summertime, and the cat's "good" angel perched nearby warning the cat it was not a nice thing to do.
Folk Art
If you want to be more serious and show a bit more of your devotional side, you could do it in the same room as well. Add a simple FAITH sign above the doorway, and nearby you could put a cross and a star.
Anything is possible, and what a great way to keep the conversation going when you are at a loss for a subject. Friends and family alike will love the inviting and relaxing atmosphere and enjoy their visits.
